Scheduling a WGU Assessment


Follow these steps to schedule a WGU assessment: 

 

1. Navigate to the course for the assessment you want to schedule. 

2. Go to the Assessments tab of the course page and click the Request Approval button under the assessment. 

3. Once your mentor has approved your scheduling request, you will see a Schedule Now button under the assessment. Click this button. 

4. Choose the proctoring option you would like to use for the assessment: 

 

  • Online Proctoring (Recommended): Use a WGU-issued webcam to take your assessment from home, work, or another suitable location. 
  • WGU-Approved Testing Center: Use a proctor at a local community college, testing center, or similar location.

5. Choose the date(s) and time(s) you are available to sit for the exam.

6. Enter any additional information for the proctor in the notes section. 

7. Submit the form. 


Rescheduling Online Proctored Assessments


Students have up to 24 hours following the scheduled time to request scheduling. Follow these steps to reschedule an online proctored assessment: 

 

  1. After logging into the student portal, navigate to the course for the assessment you want to reschedule. 
  2. Go to the Assessments area of the course page, and click the Assessment Center button under the assessment. 
  3. From within the Assessment Center, click the Reschedule button. 
  4. Enter the new date and time for your assessment. 
  5. Submit the form. 


Rescheduling Site Proctored Assessments


Students have up to 24 hours following the scheduled time to request scheduling. Follow these steps to reschedule an assessment scheduled at a proctoring location: 

 

  1. Click the Reschedule Request link in your confirmation email. 
  2. Select the proctoring site. 
  3. Select three dates and times you are available to take your assessment. 
  4. Submit the form. 


Once the proctoring site receives your request, monitor your student email for more information regarding confirmation or denial of your request.
