AP: CS - Introductory First Meeting

As a clinical supervisor (CS) you are to meet with the advanced program candidate, face-to-face or by phone, prior to the start of their practicum. If the candidate does not initiate contact at least 2 weeks prior to the estimated start date of their practicum, you should do so. This introductory meeting is an opportunity to set expectations, to review the observation and evaluation requirements, and to create a rough schedule of the observations. We request that you only meet with the candidate in a public place, preferably the assigned school. After this initial meeting you should let the candidate know where and when the next meeting will take place.
