Creating a Field Experience Resume

Teacher candidates must complete a resume as a requirement to receive approval for preclinical experiences (PCE). The purpose of the resume is to assist you in securing a PCE placement. The following resume guidelines are in place to help the school learn basic information about you and your background to see if you will be a good fit for their school.

Step 1: Review the following resume guidelines.

Resume Format - Dos and Don’ts

  • Do use Calibri, Arial, or Times New Roman font, with a font size of 11 or 12, and font color of black.
  • Do limit your resume one page.
  • Do upload your resume in a Word document through your Field Experience page.
  • Do not use graphics, photographs, or quotation on your resume.
  • Do not make references to age, ethnicity, or religious affiliations on your resume.

    • If you have additional degrees from other schools, follow the same format as above and list them in reverse, chronological order (the most recent degree first and so on).
