After you work with your program mentor to determine a demonstration teaching (DT) cohort you plan to participate in, you are assigned a placement coordinator who is a member of the Field Experiences team. You can find your assigned placement coordinator on the Field Experience page that you can navigate to from your degree plan.
Your placement coordinator collaborates with you to arrange an appropriate classroom placement. Shortly after you receive notification of provisional acceptance, your placement coordinator will schedule a call with you to go over the placement process step-by-step. During this call your placement coordinator will remind you of important deadlines and give you the opportunity to ask questions. Your placement coordinator maintains a relationship with districts and schools and will stay in touch with you on a regular basis to let you know your placement process status.
When you have met all final requirements and have been fully accepted to the cohort, your placement coordinator will send you an official placement confirmation that indicates the name and location of the school, the placement start and end dates, the grade assigned, the name of your host teacher (HT), and the name and contact information for your clinical supervisor (CS).
