CIW Assessment Scheduling and Score Results

How to schedule a CIW assessment:

These instructions are for scheduling at a PearsonVue testing center.  Instructions for scheduling your assessment online can be found here.

If you are interested in taking this exam from home via online proctoring with a webcam, have Google Chrome installed on your computer, and meet other system requirements, let us know here.

 

To schedule your assessment at a PearsonVue Testing Center:

  1. Go to http://www.pearsonvue.com/ciw
  2. Sign in to your account.
    • First time users: Click Create account and register.
      • Note: It can take Pearson Vue up to 24 hours to email your username and password.
    • Returning users: Sign in with your username and password.
  3. Click View Exams.
  4. Under Select Exams, select the name of the exam.
    • If you have any questions about which exam to select, please reach out to your course instructor.
  5. Select preferred language and click Next.
  6. Click Schedule this Exam.
  7. Accept the Terms and Conditions by selecting Yes, I accept and click Next.
  8. Make sure the address is correct for locating a test center and then click Search.
  9. Select up to three testing centers to compare availability and click Next.
  10. Select a date and time.
  11. Ensure you have selected the proper exam and then click Proceed to Checkout at the bottom of the page.
  12. Confirm Personal Information and click Next.
  13. Agree to Policies: Select checkbox and click Next.
  14. Click Add Voucher or Promo Code.
  15. In the Voucher/Promotion Code box, enter the voucher number you received and then click Apply.
  16. After you refresh the page, the balance should be USD 0.00. Click Next.
  17. Review your appointment information and then click Submit Order.
  18. Click Print Receipt. Take this receipt with you to the testing center.
  19. Notify WGU of the scheduled date and time by emailing Assessment Services.

How to provide your CIW score to WGU:

Upon completion of your CIW exam, you will need to send an official CIW score report or official CIW transcript to the Scores department at WGU. 


 

Official Score Report from a PearsonVue testing location:

When you take your exam at a PearsonVue testing location you will receive an official CIW score report. The score report may have multiple pages. Scan or photograph all pages of the score report and send the image(s) to the Scores department. The image(s) must display the entire document. The information displayed must be legible, unaltered, and complete. 


 

Please know that WGU may verify your result using the PearsonVue Authenticate Score Report tool. The registration number and validation number must be visible on your score report. 



To request an Official Transcript from CIW

  1. Visit https://www.ciwcertified.com/home and click "Candidate Login" from the Login drop down. 

  2. Enter your Username (May be your Candidate ID) and Password to login. 

  3. On the left column with blue background, Under certifications, Click "Publish Credentials". 

  4. The publish credential page will appear. Check the boxes next to all certifications you wish to share. (recommend checking all boxes) 


Fill in the "Recipient Email" With:
    ◦     scores@wgu.edu  


 Be sure to include in the message section the following:
    ◦    Your name and Student ID number  

    •    Check the box to authorize for your scores to be published. 

    •    Click publish report. 
 

 

Troubleshooting:

If you have not received notification that your score has been published within 4 business days, please follow these instructions again, substituting your own email address in step 6. Forward the resulting certification email with the link to scores@wgu.edu.
