Do I have to attend the IRB meeting when my study is reviewed?

Question

Do I have to attend the IRB meeting when my study is reviewed?

Answer

No. If the Institutional Review Board (IRB) has questions, a board member will contact the researcher or course mentor to discuss the study.  However, if your research is disapproved, you may respond directly and appeal in a convened meeting.
