EC-Council Assessment Scheduling and Score Results

How to schedule an EC-Council assessment:

 

  1. Create an EC-Council account at https://www.eccexam.com/:
    • First time users: Click Register New User. Fill in your details and click Register. It is recommended that you register using your WGU email address. 
      • Note: Any changes to your details after the exam incur a $75 admin fee not covered by WGU.
    • Returning users: Sign in with your username and password.
    • For technical issues contact chsupport@eccouncil.org. An EC-Council account is required to take your exam. You may be asked to reschedule your exam if you do not have an EC-Council account.
  2. Visit http://proctoru.com/testitout/ to check that your computer meets the system requirements for ProctorU. We recommend running this test again before your exam to ensure that your system and equipment are in working order.
  3. Create a ProctorU account at go.proctoru.com:
    • Select New user? Sign up here
    • Select Test Taker
    • Under Enrollments, select EC-Council as the institution (not Western Governors University)
    • Fill in your personal details
    • Check the box after reading to agree to ProctorU's terms of service
    • Click Create Account
    • Update testing preferences if you wish.
  4. Click Schedule New Session in the upper right portion of the screen
  5. Choose the details for your exam. In the 'Institution' field, choose EC-Council. In the 'Term' field, choose 'Active tests'. Choose your exam based on the WGU assessment.
    • AQV2, FMV2, and JIV2: Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)
    • FVV2: Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)
    • ARV2, FNV2, and JHV2: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    • IKV1: EC-Council Certified Encryption Specialist (ECES)
    • ILV1: EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (ECIH)
  6. Click Find Session
  7. Select the date and time you wish to take the exam.
  8. Click Select for the date and time chosen.
  9. Click Schedule to confirm the time.
  10. You will receive confirmation of the reservation. A countdown timer will appear indicating the time left until your exam.

 

Launching your Assessment


Please have your photo ID, your EC-Council username/password (from step 1 above), and your voucher number (below) ready. It is recommended that you visit http://proctoru.com/testitout/ to check your system meets the system requirements for ProctorU.

  1. Log in to your ProctorU account at go.proctoru.com.
  2. Connect to the proctor by clicking on 'It's go time! Click here to start your exam'.
  3. You will be taken to the virtual proctoring room and will be prompted to download and run an applet which will connect your screen with your proctor. Your proctor will connect the two-way video and audio connection.
  4. After you are connected to your proctor via webcam and screen-sharing software, the proctor will request to see your photo ID and ask publicly available information for authentication purposes. You will also be asked to perform a few short exercises to ensure that there are no unauthorized materials in the exam vicinity.
  5. The proctor will ask you to log in to your EC-Council account.
  6. Read the EC-Council agreements and click 'Continue'
  7. Read and agree to the Privacy Notice and click 'Next'
  8. The proctor will assist in choosing the correct exam and you will then click "Take the Test" for that exam.
  9. Enter your voucher code you received in your email and click 'submit'
  10. The proctor will enter an ID and password to authorize access to the exam.
  11. When you are ready, click the 'Start Test" button to begin the exam

How to provide your EC-Council score to WGU

Upon completion of your EC-Council exam, you will need to send an official EC-Council exam transcript or an official certificate to the Scores Department at WGU. 



Official Exam Transcript:

When you take your EC-Council exam, you will receive your EC-Council exam transcript at the end of the exam in PDF format. Send the entire PDF document to the Scores department. The information displayed on the document must be legible, unaltered, and complete. The image(s) must display the entire document.

 

Official Certificate from Aspen portal:

If you received passing results on your EC-Council exam, you will receive an invitation from Aspen portal at your registered EC-Council email address. You should see your soft copy PDF certification in the 'certifications' section of your Aspen portal, within 1-2 weeks following your exam. Send this official certificate to the Scores Department. 

 

If you do not receive an invitation from Aspen portal or if you are unable to find your PDF certification 2 weeks following your exam, please reach out to EC-Council Customer Support.  


 

Please know that WGU may verify your result using the Aspen Verify Transcript tool.

Exams taken through PearsonVue:
  If you took the exam through PearsonVue, login to http://www.vue.com/eccouncil/ with your account credentials. 


  1. Access your account through https://aspen.eccouncil.org/ 

  2. Click "My Courses" 

  3. Click "Certificate" 

  4. Click "Download Exam Transcript" 

  5. Your transcript will appear as a PDF document. Save this to your computer. 

  6. Email a copy of the document to scores@wgu.edu.
