Yes. Exceptional final capstone submissions are honored through a special recognition program called the Capstone Excellence Award program. Superb projects represent top work in their expression of ingenuity, exhibition of mastery, or creation of exceptional value to others. Capstones that score highest rubric aspects, average few task submissions, have appropriate originality scores, and are completed within a reasonable amount of time are eligible for consideration. Evaluation faculty nominate excellent submissions which are then reviewed and approved by management. Students aspiring for this award should review awarded projects in the Capstone Excellence Archive and discuss criteria with the capstone course instructor to guide their efforts.
