Program Change Requests from Nursing RN to BSN to RN to MSN Degree Programs

Effective February 1, 2018 students that start in the WGU College of Health Professions Nursing RN to BSN (BSNU) degree program will not have the option to program change to any of the RN to MSN (MSRNNUEDGR, MSRNNUNIFGR, and MSRNNULMGR) degree programs.

 

Note: For Students currently enrolled in the Nursing RN to BSN programs between June 1, 2017 and January 1, 2018 that intended to program change from Nursing RN to BSN to one of the Nursing RN to MSN programs will be given one option to program change at the end of their term if they meet the following criteria:

 

  • The student must meet all eligible admissions requirements for the College of Health Professions Nursing RN to MSN degree program. Please refer to the Admissions Requirements for the College of Health Professions RN to MSN degree programs.
  • The student must have made satisfactory on-time progress, and adhered to the WGU Communication Protocol.

After February 1, 2018 no further program changes from the Nursing RN to BSN (BSNU) degree program to any of the Nursing RN to MSN (MSRNNUEDGR, MSRNNUNIFGR, and MSRNNULMGR) degree programs will be honored by WGU Enrollment or WGU Mentoring Leadership. The Nursing RN to BSN (BSNU) degree program student still has the option to acquire a second degree from WGU by pursuing enrollment in any of the MSN programs offered, thus securing an RN to BSN degree and MSN degree upon completion of their education.
