WGU RN to MSN Readmission Policy

Students withdrawn from the RN to MSN program, whether administratively or upon request, are not permitted readmission into the RN to MSN program. The following degree options are available in lieu of RN to MSN readmission:

  • Students withdrawn during the undergraduate (BSNU) portion of the RN to MSN degree may elect to seek readmission to the B.S.—Nursing program (BSNU), and upon successful completion, seek a Second Degree Matriculation pathway to an MSN program (MS—Nursing Education, MS—Nursing Informatics, MS—Leadership & Management, Master of Health Leadership).
  • Students withdrawn during the graduate (MSN) portion of the RN to MSN degree may elect to seek readmission to an MSN program (MS—Nursing Education, MS—Nursing Informatics, MS—Leadership & Management, Master of Health Leadership).

The above readmission policy affects the following programs:

MSRNNULMUG

MSRNNUEDUG

MSRNNUNIFUG

MSRNNULMGR

MSRNNUEDGR

MSRNNUNIFGR

Students begin the appeal for readmission by emailing admissions@wgu.edu. See the policy Readmission Following Withdrawal for applicable fees and other university requirements.
