Last Date of Academic Activity (LDA)

When determining enrollment status and calculating tuition refunds, WGU considers the last date of enrollment to be the date on which the University was notified of a student’s intent to withdraw, or the last date on which a student engaged in any of the following academic activities:
  • Correspondence with a WGU faculty member by message or phone call for academic discussion
  • Completion of an objective assessment
  • Completion of a preassessment
  • Participation in a WGU conference call, study group or online chat
  • Use of learning resources
  • Submission of an assignment or quiz within a learning resource
  • Posting a message within a WGU learning community
  • Submission of a performance assessment task

For students who have not established term enrollment, WGU considers the last date of enrollment to be the final day of the prior term. If no competency units were completed in said term, the last date of enrollment is considered to be the last date on which a student engaged in any of the academic activities listed above.
