Grievance initiation and escalation paths are described in the Student Complaint Policy, the Discrimination Grievance Procedures and also in the Nursing Student Handbook article, Appropriate Chain of Escalation for Student Communication - Nursing Programs. Students who are unclear about the appropriate procedures and which steps to take may consult Student Services for guidance at (877) 435-7948 or

In the event that students believe their issue with the University cannot be resolved through the grievance and complaint processes noted above, they have the right to contact our accrediting agencies and/or various state agencies. This information should not be construed as informative of what agencies regulate the University or in what states the University is licensed or required to be licensed. States, through relevant agencies or attorney generals offices, will accept complaints regardless of whether the University is required to be licensed in that state.
