Alaska Early Childhood Education Certification and Exam Requirements

In Alaska, this program leads to an Initial teaching certificate in Early Childhood Pk-Grade 3.

 

1) Content Exam:  You must pass one of these exams to graduate from the program and be recommended for certification. 

a)  Praxis 5001 Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects (4 subtests) OR  

b) Praxis 5025 Early Childhood Education (This exam does not meet the WGU program requirement.)

 

2) WGU Program Required Exam:  If you matriculated on or after March 1, 2012, you must pass one of these exams to graduate from this program and be recommended for certification.

a) Praxis 5018, Elementary Education: Content Knowledge OR 

b) Praxis 5001, Elementary Education: Multiple SubjectsOR 

c) Praxis 5014 Elementary Education: Content Knowledge OR 

d) Praxis 5031 Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects

If you matriculated on or after March 1, 2012, you must pass one of these exams to graduate from this program and be recommended for certification.

 

STUDENT TEACHING FORM
