Secondary Education - Earth and Space Sciences

Not Available: English to Speakers of Another Language

School Administration

 

The CNMI has the following general requirements for all applicants for initial teacher licensure: 

 

1. RECIPROCITY THROUGH UTAH:WGU students in the CNMI must first obtain their Utah teaching certificate, and then apply for licensure in the CNMI. Please see Utah teacher certification requirements.

2. DEGREE:Possess a minimum of a baccalaureate degree.
 
3. PROGRAM: Completion of a state-approved/accredited teacher education program.

4. BACKGROUND CHECK: Completion of an FBI Fingerprint check to accompany the application.

 

5. MEDICAL EXAM: Completion of a medical exam to accompany the application.

 

6. BASIC SKILLS EXAM:Passing scores on the required basic skills exam

7. CONTENT EXAMS:Passing scores on the required subject matter examinations.
