CO Basic Skills Requirements

Although the Colorado Department of Education does not require a basic skills exam for licensure, WGU requires a basic skills exam for graduation. One of the exams listed below must be completed in order to satisfy WGU's basic skills exam requirement.

Basic Skills Exam Requirement:

 

Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators: Combined Test (5751) You should sign up to take your basic skills examination when you begin studying Foundations of Teaching to ensure you have time to pass the examination prior to enrollment in Effective Teaching Practices.
PLACE Basic Skills (90) If passed by 5/6/17. Passing scores will be accepted for 5 years until 5/6/22.
Praxis I, Pre Professional Skills Test (PPST) If passed by 8/31/14.
