In Delaware, this program leads to certifications in Elementary Education Grades K-6 and Exceptional Children K-12.

1. Content Exam for Elementary Education:  Praxis 5001, Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects

Or, if passed prior to 8/31/2014, Praxis 5031, Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects

You must pass this exam to graduate from the program and be recommended for certification.

2. Content Exam for Special Education: Praxis 5354, Special Education: Content Knowledge and Applications
Or, if passed before 8/31/2010: Praxis 0352, Special Education: Application of Core Principles Across Categories of Disability

You must this exam to graduate from this program and be recommended for certification.

 

3. WGU Program Requirement: Praxis 5543, Special Education: Core Knowledge and Mild to Moderate Applications

If you matriculated 9/1/2011, or later, you must pass this exam to graduate from this program.

 

 

DEMONSTRATION TEACHING REQUIREMENT
