Delaware has the following requirements for all applicants for teacher certification:
1. DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from a Bachelor's degree program at a regionally accredited college or university.

2. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from a teacher preparation program approved to lead to teacher certification in the home-state of the program and that is accredited by NCATE or state-approved according to NCATE standards.


3. CONTENT EXAMS REQUIREMENT: Passing scores on all of the required Praxis content exams.


4. TEACHING PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT: Completion of the Delaware Teaching Performance Assessment (for students beginning demonstration teaching on or after 8/1/2016).
