Foreign Baccalaureate Degrees and Admission to Teacher Preparation Programs

Foreign Baccalaureate Degrees and Admission to Teacher Preparation Programs

If you hold a foreign baccalaureate degree and wish to apply for admission to a Post-Baccalaureate or Graduate teaching program at WGU, you must have your foreign transcripts evaluated by an agency that satisfies WGU Requirements for International Evaluations.  In accordance with WGU's Undergraduate Degree Requirements for Enrollment into Post-Baccalaureate or Graduate Teachers Colleg..., your foreign degree evaluation must state that your undergraduate degree is equivalent to an undergraduate degree conferred by a Regionally accredited institution in the United States.

WGU must be able to verify your state’s policy for foreign transcript evaluation through a published list of acceptable evaluators on the state’s Department of Education website. If such a list is not published and linked below, applicants in these states must apply for admission to a Bachelor of Arts program instead.
