GA ESL Endorsement and Exam Requirements

In Georgia, this program leads to an endorsement in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) P-12.

1) Georgia Content Exam: GACE English to Speakers of Other Languages I (119) and II (120)

While this exam is not required for graduation, you must pass this exam to be recommended for licensure.

2) WGU Program Required Exam: Praxis 5362, English to Speakers of Other Languages

You must pass this exam, or a WGU Program Requirement exam previously accepted for the English as a Second Language program, in order to graduate from this program and be recommended for certification.

Practicum: All WGU students in an ELL program must complete a 30 hour practicum. If you wish to receive a P-12 endorsement, you must do your practicum at the P-12 level.
