WGU's Master of Arts in Science Education (MASE) 5-12 program leads to an endorsement in one of the following areas:

  • Earth/Space Science, Grades 6-12
  • Physics, Grades 6-12

Content and Program Required Exams

To graduate from your program and be recommended for a Georgia science endorsement, you must pass all exams listed for your certification area:

Middle Grades Science, Grades 4-8

 

1) Content Exam for Georgia:  GACE Middle Grades Science (014)

While this exam is not required for graduation, you must pass this exam to be recommended for licensure. 

 

2) WGU Program RequirementPraxis 5440, Middle School Science 

You must pass this exam, or a WGU Program Requirement exam previously accepted for the Middle Grades Science program, in order to graduate from this program and be recommended for certification. 

 

Biology, Grades 6-12

 

1) Georgia Content Exam: GACE Biology Test I (026) and Test II (027)

While this exam is not required for graduation, you must pass this exam to be recommended for licensure. 


 2) WGU Program RequirementPraxis  5235, Biology: Content Knowledge

 

Chemistry, Grades 6-12

 

1) Georgia Content Exam: GACE Chemistry Test I (028) and Test II (029)

While this exam is not required for graduation, you must pass this exam to be recommended for licensure. 

 

2) WGU Program RequirementPraxis 5245, Chemistry: Content Knowledge

 

Earth/Space Science, Grades 6-12

 

1) Georgia Content Exam: GACE Science Test I (024) and Test II (025)

While this exam is not required for graduation, you must pass this exam to be recommended for licensure.

Physics, Grades 6-12

 

1) Georgia Content Exam: GACE Physics Test I (030) and Test II (031)

While this exam is not required for graduation, you must pass this exam to be recommended for licensure.
