1) Content Exam: Praxis 5169, Middle School Mathematics

You must pass this exam to graduate from the MAME (Middle Grades) program and be recommended for certification. This exam also satisfies the WGU Program Requirement.

 

2) Pedagogy Exam: Principles of Learning and Teaching: Grades 5–9

This exam is not required for graduation but is required for certification if Middle Grades Mathematics will add a new grade level to your teaching license.



In Hawaii, WGU's Master of Arts in Mathematics Education (Secondary) program leads to an endorsement in Mathematics 6-12.

 

1) Content Exam: Praxis 5161, Mathematics: Content Knowledge

You must pass this exam to graduate from the MAME (Secondary) program and be recommended for certification. This exam also satisfies the WGU Program Requirement.
OR, if passed prior to June 30, 2014, Praxis 5061, Mathematics: Content Knowledge

2) Pedagogy Exam: Principles of Learning and Teaching: Grades 7–12

This exam is not required for graduation but is required for certification if Secondary Mathematics will add a new grade level to your teaching license.
