Illinois requires its own basic skills examination for initial licensure. Until June 30, 2019, Illinois requires the ILTS Test of Academic Proficiency (400). Beginning July 1, 2019, Illinois will require specific scores on the ACT or SAT as the basic skills examination. WGU students planning to license in Illinois must pass the examination within the first 6 months of entering the Foundations of Teaching (FOT) domain at WGU. This test fulfills WGU's basic skills requirement.
See the Test of Academic Proficiency (TAP) (400) page of the ILTS website for fees, test dates, and registration information.
To ensure that WGU receives your scores and can verify your eligibility for DT, you must fax a copy of your official score report to the Assessments Office at 1-801-606-7021 or e-mail a scanned copy to email@example.com.
