Illinois MS Special Education Certification and Exam Requirements

In Illinois, completion of this program leads to a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS I) endorsement.


1) Content Exam for Illinois Certification: ILTS Learning Behavior Specialist I (155)

 

2) WGU Program Required Exam : Praxis 5543 Special Education: Core Knowledge and Mild to Moderate ApplicationsYou must pass this exam to graduate from this program if you matriculated into the MS Special Education program on or after 9/1/2011.

 

PRACTICUM REQUIREMENT
 

Those who matriculate in the MS Special Education program after March 1, 2010 will complete 240 in-class clock hours of supervised practicum in elementary and secondary special education classrooms as part of their capstone project.
