The Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) requires graduates from an out-of-state institution, like WGU, to obtain a license in the home-state of the program (Utah) prior to applying for an endorsement in Kentucky. 


In Kentucky, WGU's Master of Arts in Mathematics Education (Middle) program leads to an  endorsement Middle School Mathematics, Grades 5-9


In Kentucky, WGU's Master of Arts in Mathematics Education (Secondary) program leads to an  endorsement in Secondary Mathematics, Grades 8-12

Content and Program Required ExamsAll Praxis exams must be less than five years old at the time you apply for Kentucky licensure.

 Content Exam: Praxis 5169, Middle School Mathematics

 This exam also satisfies the WGU Program Requirement.


 Previous Content Exam: Praxis 0069, Middle School Mathematics

 If passed prior to 9/1/2013

 

MAME (Secondary)


 

 Content Exam: Praxis 5161, Mathematics: Content Knowledge

 This exam also satisfies the WGU Program Requirement.

 

 Previous Content Exams:

 1) Praxis 5061, Mathematics: Content Knowledge  

 AND

 2) Praxis 0063, Mathematics: Proofs, Models, & Problems, Part 1

 Both Praxis 5061 and 0063 must have been passed prior to  9/1/2013
