The Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) requires graduates from an out-of-state institution, like WGU, to obtain a license in the home-state of the program (Utah) prior to applying for a license in Kentucky.

1) Content Exam for Utah and Kentucky Certification: Praxis 5169, Middle School Mathematics

You must pass this exam to graduate from your program and be recommended for certification.

This exam also satisfies the WGU Program Requirement.

2) Pedagogy Exam for Kentucky Certification: Praxis 5623, Principles of Learning and Teaching: Grades 5-9

This exam is not required for graduation, but is required to receive a license recommendation from WGU.
