In Maryland, the middle grades program leads to a certification in Middle Grades Science, Grades 4-9.

 

1) Content exam: Praxis 5440, Middle School Science

This exam is required for graduation and recommendation for certification. 

 

In Maryland, the secondary program leads to a certification in one of the following areas:

 

Biology, Grades 7-12
Chemistry, Grades 7-12
Earth/Space Science, Grades 7-12
Physics, Grades 7-12

MD Content Exam:

Praxis 5265, Physics: Content Knowledge

This exam must be passed for graduation and to be recommended for certification.
