* Beginning 7/1/19, the grade range for this license will change to Grades 4 - 8.

This exam also satisfies the WGU Program RequirementYou must pass this exam to graduate from the program and be recommended for your endorsement.

 

 

In Maine, WGU's Master of Arts in Mathematics Education (Secondary) program leads to an endorsement in Mathematics, Grades 7-12

* Beginning 7/1/19, the grade range for this license will change to Grades 6-12.

 

1. Content ExamPraxis 5161, Mathematics: Content Knowledge

This exam also satisfies the WGU Program RequirementYou must pass this exam to graduate from the program and be recommended for your endorsement.

 

Note: MAME students who wish to add a secondary endorsement normally must complete 15 weeks of student teaching. However, they may also graduate from our programs, apply for a conditional certificate, and become employed in a secondary classroom using their conditional certificate. Once they obtain one year of teaching experience in a secondary classroom, they can then apply for the standard certificate without the need for student teaching.
