Michigan BA Special Education/ Elementary Education Certification and Exam RequirementsIn Michigan, this program leads to certifications in Elementary K-5 All Subjects (K-8 Self-Contained Classrooms) and Learning Disabilities K-12.Content Exams: 1) MTTC Elementary Education (103) (or MTTC Elementary Education 083 if passed prior to 10/1/13) AND2) MTTC Learning Disabilities (063)
Note: After 12/1/2019, applicants must pass the MTTC Learning Disabilities (114).
You must pass BOTH exams to graduate from this program and be recommended for certification.
All MTTC exams must be less than 5 years old at the time of licensure in Michigan. WGU Program Requirement: Praxis 5543, Special Education: Core Knowledge and Mild to Moderate Applications (for students who matriculated on 9/1/2011 or after)You must pass this exam to graduate from this program.
