In Minnesota, this program leads to a license in one of the following:

 

Life Science, Grades 9-12
Chemistry, Grades 9-12
Earth and Space Science, Grades 9-12
Physics, Grades 9-12

Life Science, 9-12

Content Exam:  MTLE Life Science 062 and 063 (Grades 9-12)

You must pass this exam to graduate from the program and be recommended for licensure. 


Pedagogy Exam:  MTLE Pedagogy: Secondary 014 and 015 (Grades 5-12)

You must mass this exam to be recommended for licensure. 


WGU Program Requirement:  Praxis 5235, Biology: Content Knowledge 

You must pass this exam to graduate from the program and be recommended for licensure. 

Chemistry, 9-12

Content Exam:  MTLE Chemistry 058 and 059 (Grades 9-12)

You must pass this exam to graduate from the program and be recommended for licensure. 


Pedagogy Exam:  MTLE Pedagogy: Secondary 014 and 015  (Grades 5-12)

You must mass this exam to be recommended for licensure. 


WGU Program Requirement:  Praxis 5245, Chemistry: Content Knowledge 

You must pass this exam to graduate from the program and be recommended for licensure. 

Earth and Space Science, 9-12

Content Exam:  MTLE Earth and Space Science 060 and 061 (Grades 9-12)

**Demonstration Teaching Requirement: MN requires a split DT placement for all it's 5-12 single subject licenses.  Students must do half their placement in a 5-8 classroom and half in a 9-12 classroom.
