In Mississippi, this program leads to a certification in one of the following areas:  

Biology, Grades 7-12
Chemistry, Grades 7-12
Physics, Grades 7-12

Not Available: Geosciences

Note: Students in a Post-baccalaureate or MAT Science 5-12 program will be eligible for certification that aligns with their undergraduate science major and must take the corresponding content exams.

Previous Exam Requirement: The Praxis II 0524, Principles of Learning and Teaching K-6, will be accepted for certification until January 1, 2016. This exam was replaced by the Praxis II 0624 in September 2011.
