In Montana, this program leads to an endorsement in: Special Education PK-12
1) Content Exam: Praxis 5354 Special Education: Core Knowledge and Applications
You do not need to pass this exam to graduate from your program, but you must pass this exam to be recommended for an endorsement.
2) WGU Program Requirement: Praxis 5543 Special Education: Core Knowledge and Mild to Moderate Applications
You must pass this exam to graduate from this program.
Practicum: Those who matriculate in the MS Special Education program after March 1, 2010 will complete 240 in-class clock hours of supervised practicum in elementary and secondary special education classrooms as part of their capstone project.
