Utah license required for completers of all initial licensure programs and the MSSP program.

North Dakota has the following general requirements for all applicants for initial teacher certification and MSSP endorsement applicants who have completed an out-of-state teacher preparation program and are applying via a reciprocal teaching license:

1. RECIPROCITY/OUT-OF-STATE LICENSE: Hold a valid teaching license in the state in which the teacher preparation program was completed (see Utah Certification Requirements).

2. DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, including a major that meets the issuing jurisdiction's requirements in elementary education, middle level education, or a content area taught in public high school.

3. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Completion of a state approved teacher preparation program.

4. BACKGROUND CLEARANCE: Completion of the required background checks.

5. BASIC SKILLS REQUIREMENT: Passing scores on the required basic skills exam.

6. EXAM REQUIREMENTS: Passing scores on the required Praxis content and pedagogy exams.
