Nebraska Basic Skills Requirement
Basic Skills Exam: Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators: Combined Test (5751)
Beginning 8/1/2020, Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators: Combines Test (5752)
Prior to 9/1/2014: Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Tests (PPST)
The Nebraska Department of Education has established the Praxis Core (or, prior to 9/1/2014, Praxis Pre-Professional Skills Tests (PPST)) in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics as the state-required basic skills exam. Nebraska allows you to use passed sections of the Praxis PPST passed before 9/1/2014 in combination with the Praxis Core for a "mix and match" total.
Composite score option for Praxis CORE: A composite score of 468 on all three portions of Praxis Core, with no single subtest score being more than one point below the score required for each subtest, shall be considered passing. You may not mix sections of Praxis PPST and Praxis Core to meet the composite score option.
You must pass all portions of the basic skills exam within the first six months of entering the Foundations of Teaching (FOT) domain.
The minimum required scores for Nebraska can be found by reviewing the Nebraska Basic Skills Requirements.
