New Hampshire Elementary Education Certification and Exam Requirements

In New Hampshire, this program leads to a certification in Elementary Education Grades K-6.

Elementary Education Certification Available:  

Graduates of a WGU elementary education teacher preparation program will be eligible for grades K-6 elementary education teacher certification in New Hampshire, which will allow them to teach in any multiple subject classroom in that grade range.


1) Content Exam: Praxis 5001 Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects (OR Praxis 5031, Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects if passed before 8/31/2015)

You must pass this exam in order to graduate from your program and be recommended for certification. 


2) Pedagogy Exam: New Hampshire Foundations of Reading 

You must pass this exam in order to be recommended for certification.
