(MAME, MASE, MSSP, MAELL, ENDELL)

Certified New Jersey educators can apply for certification in additional endorsement areas by completing a regionally accredited teacher preparation program that provides at least 30 credits in the new teaching area, with 12 of those credits being upper-division coursework. Note, WGU's math and science endorsement programs do not include this much content. Therefore, students will need to either have previous coursework from another university verifiable on a transcript or complete the additional coursework outside of WGU. Graduates of a WGU endorsement preparation program can apply for certification in the new endorsement area by following the application process outlined in the New Jersey Certification Application Information article in this handbook.

Note: The requirements to add an endorsement in New Jersey are the same, whether you are adding an endorsement at a new grade level (Elementary to Secondary) or the same grade level (Secondary to Secondary).
