Content Exams

NMTA Middle Grades General Science (204)

If passed prior to 1/5/2015: NMTA Middle Level Science (25) may be substituted.

Pedagogy Exams

NMTA Assessment of Professional Knowledge: Elementary (051)

      OR

NMTA  Assessment of Professional Knowledge: Secondary (052)

One of these exams must be passed before requesting a recommendation for teacher licensure.

 

If passed prior to 1/5/2015: New Mexico Assessment of Teacher Competency—Elementary (03) OR New Mexico Assessment of Teacher Competency—Secondary (04) may be substituted.

a) Praxis 5440 Middle School Science
     OR
b) Praxis 5439 Middle School Science
     OR
c) Praxis 5435 General Science: Content Knowledge*

Students must pass one of these exams before applying for graduation.
