Basic Skills Exam:
Beginning 9/1/2019, Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators: Combined Test (5752)
or, if passed by 8/31/2019, Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators: Combined Test (5751),
NOTE: The Nevada Department of Education will accept any combination of passing scores from the old (5751) and new (5752) versions of the Praxis Core.
The Nevada Department of Education has established the Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) Test in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics as the state-required basic skills exam.
Previous Basic Skills Exam (If passed prior to September 2014): Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST). If you have not completed the Praxis I® (5710, 5720, 5730) tests, you have until July 2014 to take all three tests. The Nevada Department of Education will accept scores provided the approved passing scores are met by that date.
Go to http://www.ets.org/praxis for information on test dates, fees, and registration. You can find the minimum required scores for Nevada by reviewing the NV Praxis Exam Requirements.
To ensure WGU receives your Praxis Core scores, add WGU (Recipient Code #4944) as an official score recipient when you register for Praxis Core. You may wish to consider consulting the Registering for Praxis Exams article.
Students may also pass the CBEST in lieu of the Praxis Core to meet Nevada's Basic Skills requirement.
