New York ESL License and Exam Requirements

Important Information:  The purpose of WGU’s Endorsement Preparation for English Language Learning (ENDELL) and Master of Arts in English Language Learning (MAELLP12) programs in New York is to enable students to earn a regionally accredited master’s degree (or to complete graduate-level studies in the case of ENDELL).

Candidates will not become eligible for New York certification in English to Speakers of Other Languages by completing the WGU program alone.  Additional coursework outside WGU will always be required for certification.
