New York Master of Arts in Mathematics Education (MAME) Certification and Exam Requirements

Important Information:  The purpose of WGU’s Master of Arts, Mathematics Education (MAME) program in New York is to enable students to earn a regionally accredited master’s degree. New York requires 30 credits in this subject area.  This requirement can not be met by completing WGU’s Master of Arts, Mathematics Education (MAME) program alone.

The New York State Education Department (NYSED) will make an authoritative and final determination about your eligibility for certification after evaluating your transcripts.  Depending on what coursework you completed prior to this program, NYSED may require you to complete additional coursework outside WGU before you will be issued a Mathematics certification.
