While the Ohio Department of Education does not require a basic skills exam for certification, WGU requires that all students in the Teachers College take and pass a basic skills test. Students planning to license in Ohio must pass all three sections (Reading, Writing, and Mathematics) of the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) exam.

See http://www.ets.org/praxis for information on test dates, fees, and registration. WGU's minimum score requirements can be found in the WGU Basic Skills article in this handbook.

To ensure that WGU receives your scores and can verify your eligibility for DT, you must fax a copy of your official score report to the Assessments Office at 1-801-906-5108 or email a scanned copy to scores@wgu.eduIf you uploaded your official basic skills passing scores as part of your DT application, you do not need to fax or email your scores separately.
