OH Secondary Mathematics Certification and Exam Requirements - Direct and Approved Pathway

LICENSE AND EXAM REQUIREMENTS


In Ohio, this program leads to Integrated Mathematics 7-12 certification.

Important Note Regarding Field Experiences and Licensure

 

1) Content Exam:  OAE: Mathematics (027)

This exam is required to graduate from the program and to be recommended for licensure.


2) WGU Program Requirement: Praxis 5161, Mathematics: Content Knowledge OR Praxis 5061, Mathematics: Content Knowledge

This exam is required to graduate from the program.

 

3) Pedagogy Exam: OAE Assessment of Professional Knowledge: Adolescence to Young Adult 7-12 (003)

If passed prior to September 3, 2013, Praxis 0624, Principles of Learning and Teaching 7-12. You must pass this exam to be recommended for certification.

This exam is required to be recommended for licensure.
