(Or, if passed prior to 9/3/2013, Praxis 0061/5061, Mathematics: Content Knowledge)

WGU Program Requirement Praxis 5161, Mathematics: Content Knowledge

(Or, if passed prior to 9/3/2013, Praxis 0061/5061, Mathematics: Content Knowledge)

This exam is required to graduate from the program.

Pedagogy Exam: OAE Assessment of Professional Knowledge: Adolescence to Young Adult 7-12 (003)
(or, if passed prior to 9/23/2013, Praxis 0624/5624, Principles of Learning and Teaching 7-12)

This exam is required to be recommended for licensure.

Ohio requires the passing of content exam(s) and a professional knowledge (pedagogy) exam for licensure.  As a student completing a program outside of Ohio, the Ohio Department of Education will accept content exam(s) required for certification in WGU's home-state of Utah or content exam(s) required for certification in Ohio.  Since Utah does not require a professional knowledge (pedagogy) exam for initial licensure, you will need to pass an Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE) pedagogy exam to license in Ohio.
