Early Childhood Education, PK-Grade 3

Elementary Education, 1-8

Special Education Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Pk-12

Intermediate Mathematics, Grades 5-12

Middle Level Science, Grades 5-8

Secondary Social Studies: U.S./OK History/Government/Economics, Grades 5-12

Secondary Social Studies: World History/Geography, Grades 5-12

Oklahoma has the following general requirements for all applicants for initial teacher licensure who completed an out-of-state teacher education program:

1. DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: Graduated from a regionally-accredited university with a Bachelor's Degree.

2. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Completion of a regionally-accredited teacher preparation program. 

3. EXAM REQUIREMENTS: Passing scores on the Oklahoma General Education Test (basic skills), as well as the content knowledge and pedagogy Certification Examinations for Oklahoma Educators (CEOE).   

4. RESIDENT TEACHER PROGRAM: Please note that teacher candidates without teaching experience will receive a one-year provisional license and will be required to complete a Resident Teacher Program during their first year of teaching. Upon completion of this mentoring program, teachers will become eligible for standard certification.
