Oklahoma MS Special Education Certification and Exam Requirements

In Oklahoma, this program leads to an endorsement  in Special Education Mild/Moderate Disabilities Pk-12.

1) Content Exam:  OSAT Mild-Moderate Disabilities (129)

OR, if passed prior to 1/9/2017, OSAT Mild-Moderate Disabilities (029)

You must pass this exam to be recommended for certification.


2) WGU Program Requirement: Praxis 5543, Special Education: Core Knowledge and Mild to Moderate Applications

If you matriculated after 9/1/2011, you must pass this exam to graduate from the program and be recommended for certification.

Practicum: Those who matriculate in the MS Special Education program after March 1, 2010 will complete 240 in-class clock hours of supervised practicum in elementary and secondary special education classrooms as part of their capstone project.
