Students may mix and match subtests of the Praxis Core 5752 and 5751 to satisfy the basic skills requirement.

The test numbers for each exam are as follows:

Praxis 5751: Combined Test (5751), Reading (5712), Writing (5722), Math (5732)

While the Rhode Island Department of Education does not require a basic skills exam for certification, WGU requires that all students in the Teachers College take and pass a basic skills test. Students planning to license in Rhode Island must pass all three sections (Reading, Writing, and Mathematics) of the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) exam.

To ensure WGU receives your Praxis Core scores, add WGU (Recipient Code #4944) as an official score recipient when you register for Praxis Core. You may wish to consider consulting the Registering for Praxis Exams article.
