In Texas, this program leads to an endorsement in English as a Second Language Supplemental
Upon certification, graduates will be able to add the ESL endorsement at the same grade level as their existing teaching certificate.
b) Praxis 5361, English to Speakers of Other Languages
You must pass one of these exams to graduate from this program.
2) Texas Content Exam: TExES English as a Second Language Supplemental (154)
You must pass this exam to be eligible for Texas certification.
Practicum: All WGU students in an ELL program must complete a 30 hour practicum. If you wish to receive a K-12 endorsement, you need to do your practicum at the K-12 level.
