U.S. Virgin Islands English as a Second Language (Endorsement Not Available)
Note: While we do our best to give you accurate and up to date information about your state requirements, we are not infallible. State requirements change frequently. It is your responsibility, and in your best interest, to double check certification and licensure requirements with your state’s Department of Education.
The U.S. Virgin Islands requires students seeking certification in ESL to complete at least six semester hours of student teaching in ESL. WGU does not offer courses or placement for student teaching in ESL. Therefore, WGU students should not enroll in an ESL/ELL program if they wish to become certified in the VI. For more information review the V.I. Board of Education's Certification document.
