 Wyoming BA Special Education/Elementary Education Certification and Exam Requirements


In Wyoming, this program leads to initial licensure in Elementary Teacher, Grades K-6 and Special Education: Generalist K-12

1) Content Exam for Elementary Certification: Praxis 5001, Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects
          OR  Praxis 5031, Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects, if at least one sub-test is passed on or before 8/31/2014 with all passed before 7/2/2015.
          OR  Praxis 5014, Elementary Education: Content Knowledge, if passed prior to September 1, 2012.

2) Content Exam for Special Education Certification: Praxis 5543, Special Education: Core Knowledge and Mild to Moderate Applications 

This exam also satisfies the WGU Program Requirement.
