WY Early Childhood Education Certification and Exam Requirements

 Wyoming Early Childhood Education Certification and Exam Requirements

In Wyoming, this program leads to an initial license in Early Childhood Education birth-Age 8 or Grade 3. 

1) Content Exam: Choose one of the following:

         Praxis 5025, Early Childhood: Content Knowledge

         OR (Praxis 5022 Early Childhood: Content Knowledge can be accepted if passed before 9/1/2015)
          Praxis 5001, Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects
          OR Praxis 5014, Elementary Education: Content Knowledge Exam, if passed prior to September 9/1/2012.
          OR Praxis 5031, Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects, if at least one sub-test is passed on or before 8/31/2014 with all four sub-tests passed on or before 7/1/2015. 

2) WGU ECE Program Requirement: You must pass any of these four exams to satisfy the WGU Program Requirement to graduate from your program and be recommended for Wyoming licensure:


Praxis 5001, Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects OR

Praxis 5018, Elementary Education: Content Knowledge OR

Praxis 5014, Elementary Education: Content Knowledge OR

Praxis 5031, Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects
